If you're on the oily side, you're going to want to keep reading.
I know what you're thinking.
"I break out still! My skin is oily! There is no way in hell I am going to put oil on my face!"
Oh, but you will ;)
When you have oily skin, the best thing to do is keep it from drying out. When you wash with soap, you strip your skin of natural moisture and end up over producing oil to catch up with what you have washed down the drain.
It creates an endless cycle of striping and over producing.
And skin that has no idea what's going on.
Oil cleaners help grab and lock onto the dirt and debris on the surface of your skin that cause blackheads.
They also act as a traditional "moisturizer", I have found that I no longer have tight, dry skin when washing with an oil cleanser. Which is awesome, because applying lotion has always made me break out, even in my mid-thirties.
My favorite method of washing my face is pretty simple and I like to use as few products as possible:
1) AM wash with hot water- splash on face, pat dry, splash with cold water to close pores, pat dry. Mist with Time Travel toner as needed.
2) PM wash with oil cleanser. If I am in the shower or bath, I'll let it sit on my face for a few minutes before I splash it off and pat dry.
3) 1-2x week, charcoal or frankincense sugar scrub.
4) If its summer, I may wash with a "soap" type product once a week and double up on Time Travel toner after.
Try it out for a couple of weeks and let me know what you think!
